Odoo has strong potential due to its UI and flexibility, but it is not enterprise level, really not even commercial level. To reach these, Odoo will require customization, 3rd party development and a great deal of internal effort. There are not enough resources to finish a project in a timely manner and the feeling is that the Odoo team is far too busy to get a project finished.

Performance of Odoo Across Market Features

I really like how everything is in one place. Being able to track leads, manage opportunities, and follow the full sales pipeline makes things much better and more efficient. Also, helps with team visibility so everyone knows where things are at.

It has a clean, modern and easy to use interface, with a well laid out design compared to legacy ERPs. Large app ecosystem for good add-on functionality along with an Open API enables customization and integrations.

New payment plan is good (all modules accessible), Manufacturing module works well, PO customization is useful

Some features can feel a bit overwhelming at first, and there is definitely a learning curve. A few of the workflows also took some trial and error to set up the way we wanted.

Implementation and training are weak. The out-of-the-box core ERP functionality lacks depth and has limited EDI capabilities. Shipping and receiving features are underdeveloped. The pricing formulas in the price books. Overall, Odoo feels more like a framework than a finished ERP.

Reports are really tricky, looks like there are plenty of options but very confusing to set up

The overall experience with ODOO has been quite good. The platform exhibits ease of use, good integration across different business functions like procurement, manufacturing, sales and support. It is versatile for SME's, trading or manufacturing businesses. One can choose which modules are required based on the nature of the business and introduce other modules as required. If implemented correctly, it helps centralizing the core functionality of the business providing more visibility and control to users across the hierarchy.
