Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Likes & Dislikes
What I like most about Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is the performance you get for the price. The compute and network performance have been consistently strong, especially for workloads that are sensitive to latency or throughput, and it never felt like we were being nickel-and-dimed for basic features. The pricing is more predictable compared to some other clouds, which made cost planning a lot easier. I also appreciate how solid the core infrastructure feels once its running. We had very few stability issues, and things like block storage and networking just worked without much ongoing maintenance. It feels very much built for serious, production workloads rather than just quick experiments or demos.
Good cost efficiency. Features to scale up are available (superclusters) and quite some design choices that can be made due to extensive options that are available. Proximity of the Oracle SaaS platforms (Fusion) is a big plus for companies that are having these services activated.
Support for different types of databases makes the connection seamless. Oracle has been one of the biggest database platforms for quite a while now and the connection we currently have is truly efficient. The security pack is builtin the plan you take out which is a great way to impress a customer, we were impressed, I can confirm. What we also liked is that the choice of either fully cloud, dedicated regions or hybrid cloud, feels like a solution for every kind of business
The biggest downside for me has been the learning curve, especially around networking and IAM. Some concepts are more rigid or structured differently compared to other clouds, and that can slow you down in the beginning if youre coming from AWS or Azure. Simple things sometimes take longer than expected until you fully understand how Oracle expects them to be set up. The console can also feel a bit cluttered and inconsistent. Certain settings are buried deeper than they should be, and switching between regions or services isnt always as smooth as Id like. Support is generally helpful, but response times can vary depending on the issue and support tier, which can be frustrating when youre dealing with something time-sensitive.
Inconsistent performance and compared with competitors, there are feature gaps noticed. When we started using OIC, there is where the major troubles began.
New platform users might find it difficult to adopt quickly as the system itself is quite complicated so will require cloud infrastructure experts to introduce this into a new business. The ecosystem itself is a bit smaller compared to other rivals but still keeps this platform as abig player in the market

Strong performance and predictable costs, but with a steep learning curve and less mature AI-focused tooling
Overall, my experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure has been very solid. It’s been reliable in day-to-day use, performance has been consistently good, and the pricing model made sense for the workloads we were running. Once everything was set up properly, it felt stable and predictable, which is something I value a lot in a cloud platform. That said, there is a learning curve, especially around networking and IAM, and the console isn’t always as intuitive as some competitors. Documentation is generally good, but you sometimes need to dig to find exactly what you need. Because of that, I’d stop just short of calling it truly exceptional, but it’s definitely an outstanding platform overall. - Manager1B-10B USDMiscellaneousReview Source
High Performance and Security Features Enhance Oracle Cloud Data Management Solutions
Oracle seems to offer one of the best cloud management services in the current market, the variety of services that span across this platform make the cloud data availability, management, migration and connection across platforms truly seamless. It is extremely beneficial in moving/storing cloud data that comes from various sources, even the oldest code can be migrated to a new environment with the help of OCI. It truly offers high high performance - the data retrieval takes nanoseconds, it gives you the option to have either Exadata or Autonomous DB, it also offers a rather good price compared to its competitors in the market. We are using Cloud but they also offer dedicated regions and cloud solutions which is a big plus. The security package that comes included in your plan is a great addition to the package offered. - Manager Of It Services10B+ USDRetailReview Source

Oracle Cloud Offers Strong Support and Clear Documentation with reliable services but Lacks Community Presence
The suite of services Oracle cloud provides is top tier. I have worked as a Technical consultant for a reseller and studied the technology. I work as a developer utilizing some of the offerings. All I can say is that it is one of the best. - Systems Infrastructure Administrator50M-1B USDManufacturingReview Source
All-in-One Storage and Networking Solution Eases Overhead for Businesses
Being in a remote location, our speeds are limited, however, we are still able to run our deployments through the cloud from OCI fine without any noticeable lag.
