This legacy application is very hard to maintain and the devops side of the house is struggling since documentation has lot of flaws. Oracle is forcing customers to upgrade in an agile fashion without providing them the tools and means necessary to leverage automation. There are a lot of manual steps to upgrade to the next release or apply quarterly CPU patching.

It is a powerful tool. Once you have installed and configured this application it is pretty stable.

What I like most about the product: - Consolidation and reporting functionalities. - Intercompany Reconciliation - Audit and compliance functionalities.

Oracle support is very reactive. It is very hard to leverage Oracle support for projects such as CPU patching or release upgrades since there are only limited people there with the right skills to help the customers. Most oracle support is shying away from a phone call and wants to work in the background using the portal to communicate. This is making it very hard for complex troubleshooting

The HFM user interface could be a bit better and more user friendly. You have to find your way before you are able to use the system. This makes a steep learning curve for new users.

An Excellent Tool for Financial Consolidation, Reporting and Analytics! We have been using it as an integrated tool with SAP. The accounting in done in SAP and data consolidation and financial reporting is done in Hyperion as data from SAP interfaces with Hyperion Financial Management Tool.
