Emap, which is the geographical representation of the network model. This gives a great overall picture of what is happening across th electricity networks. Acuracy for reporting, real time data, improving the service provided to customers, tracking detailed outage information and supporting our commercial agreements between the Company and our service providers are real benefits of this product.
1. Integration with our EMS into one Common Operational Space. 2. The look and feel of the software is easy and an operator shouldn't need too much training just to operate. Open Street maps add a good visual for the land base 3. The Maestro/Virtuouso product to manage the data import and conflict makes it easy and visble to maintain the accuracy of the data. The ability to conduct a study before an operation and observe the violations visually and in a report is good for

We have been using OSI Monarch SCADA sincw 2008 and are very satisfied with the product. Spectra OMS was built in a development partnership between OSI and Powerco. The Spectra system was put in to production before full development was completed. This was driven by a Powerco business requirement. Some functionality was left out of the product to manage delivery timelines. OSI gave a high level of support during the project to manage a number of bug fixes and issues. Implementation was very straightforward as we have experience with OSI systems.
The new systems is working well. We have not gained all of the functionality we expect to utilitize at this time, but that is duee ot internal resource limitatations and not the vendor.
