From a security ops standpoint / perspective, the granularity of access control just stands out. I love the fact that I am able to tightly scope privileged access, rotate credentials automatically and review the recorded sessions, which provides a strong balance between operational efficiency and security. We all know the struggle to make things as secure as possible and as easy to understand for our users. If you just want to pass a compliance check, do not acquire this product. If you want to run secure systems daily and feel like this is designed just for that, buy this product. And as for value for money. Compared to larger vendors, PAM360 offers lots at a great cost, which is very practical for mid-to-large organizations who do not need the enterprise pricing Reaper Drone hovering over their heads.
What I like most about the product is that it centralizes and simplifies the management of privileged access in one place.
PAM360 tool has helped manage resource onboarding very seamlessly, I was able to bulk onboard and setup accounts without any hassle, group creation and providing access is easy. As an administrator I was able to manage all audit requests from the tool with various customized reports, scheduled reports for daily tasks and monitoring the health of the systems. We manage user and resource onboarding and off-boarding, and resource configuration. Able to setup almost all kinds of resources in the tool like ESXI, switches, Aruba switches etc. It is a great tool and user friendly for beginners to learn and implement easily.
Advanced use cases require more manual effort for fine-tuning than I was expecting. Setting up granular role-based access with time-bound approvals and just-in-time access can become quite heavy for smaller teams.
They must provide automation improvements as well as the on-premise deployment of the product.
User session management is tedious. We need to restart the session and review the logs, if missed in between and very slow. Did face challenges with SAML authentication setup. We need in-depth knowledge during PAM 360 application upgrade and implementation.
