I like the web-UI (responsive and easy to understand). The RBAC and SSO options were useful to us as we were able to tie these to our Azure Entra groups relatively easily.
The dependency detection was critical for us and made our service account password rotations possible. In connection with that feature, Secret Server's Remote Password Changing feature is now a major part of our Incident Response playbooks as part of containment procedures in the event of compromised credentials for service accounts and privileged accounts.
The deployment cost is little high, Some features have cloud dependency and don't have all file formats for reporting.
We found the lack of community resources difficult to deal with. Having to rely on support or pre-sales for any minor integration question made the onboarding more difficult than if there were more youtube videos, discussion forums, or open-source tooling available. The platform team also did not open up API or CLI access for users, so we ultimately as engineers could not use the Secrets server more than a password manager.
Some of the product documentation around API calls into Secret Server and Entra ID/Microsoft Graph hooks for Entra ID credential management were a little hard to follow, requiring us to contact support to get these features working.

Excellent Value, Feature-rich for the price point
We use Secret Server cloud to manage all of our service account credentials. The product works exactly as we have hoped and was critical in bringing all of our service account passwords into compliance. The dependency features in particular allowed our support and development teams develop a comfort level with rotating these passwords that was crucial to finishing the project.
