“Centralized Credential Management Improves Security in Oracle Fusion Environments”
As an Oracle Technical Developer working across multiple Oracle Fusion environments (SIT, UAT and Production), Secret Server has become an essential part of my daily work life. In my previous project where Secret Server was not available, it was a a security nightmare to store credentials of 40+ users and instances out of which few were frequently expiring so I had to constantly update my spreadsheet with updated credentials. Now, in my current project, Secret server serves as a secure, centralized password vault to collect credentials without the need for manual tracking. This platform has significantly improved our security measures and streamlined our daily work across multiple Oracle Fusion environments.

The overall experience with Delinea Secret Server is mixed. The platform is easy to deploy and user-friendly, which makes onboarding and daily usage straithtfoward. However, several key capabilities did not meet expectations. Account discovery has shown several errors for Active Directory and we were unable to discover Oracle accounts, which was a critical requirement for our environment. The Service Now integration, which was a major selling point, is fairly limited in practice. Additionnally, some advanced use cases in the Linux environment are not well supported.
