The Visible Light Communications (VLC) technology used by Phillips is an interesting proposal to connect and communicate with our environment, specifically designed to be used through our cell phone or mobile device, allowing users to receive information in real time, such as offers , while traveling in a store, supermarket or exhibition, however, this technology requires that the lamps or beacons used to connect to our devices must be turned on and our camera or sensor must be in our hands while we pass through the space provided with them. that sometimes means having our hands busy to review a product and visualize the details of interest. In addition, it consumes a little more data than other similar communication technologies.
