I find that Planview Portfolios excels in offering me a single platform for viewing my portfolio. This provides a simple but effective view of the project's health and status, and the strategic focus is immediately obvious.
Ability to scale large groups of trackable data.
1. Keeps track of time spent on different projects, helps you plan effectively, optimize your resources. 2. Good customer support. 3. Customizable reports.
Creating a custom report is not an easy task and is quite a cumbersome process. There is only a limited number of filters available, so getting the exact data I require usually requires several exports and a lot of work in Excel.
Very dated UI and not enjoyable to use due to the structure of data, poor performance of the product and overall ecosystem. The product feels like a very old product that has never been updated to reflect a modern UI or experience.
1. Requires training to fully understand product capabilities. 2. Interface could be better. 3. Remote advisory services are expensive.

It creates a very strict process and central location to track everything.
