Performance and Reliability Gone Wild
My company operated a traditional WAN built upon an MPLS network with backup Internet VPNs. Even when the WAN was well-tuned, it was difficult for a small team to manage well. Keeping backup strategies working was so difficult that we never had time to get around to making refinements like QoS. SD-WAN has allowed us to very easily replace a mix of legacy firewalls and routers with a comprehensive system that addresses the most important networking principals: Performance, Reliability, Security, and Cost. We are thrilled with the visibility and control we now have over our WAN. We also underestimated the high value of the system's ability to control and manage Internet access. This feature has become a necessity.
