I have worked on Symantec ProxySG mainly from an implementation and administrative perspective while supporting customer environments as a resident engineer.my overall experience with the solution has been positive because it offers stong web security capabilitities, granular policy control, and stable performance in enterprise deployments.
What worked well was the flexibility in configuring policies, authentication integration, URL Filtering, and traffic management ased on customer requirements.The solution provides very good visibility into web traffic and user activity, which helps customers improve their security posture.ProxySG is also reliable in handling large scale environments once properly configured and optimized.
From an operational side, implementation and policy tuning require good product knowledge, especially in complex environments with multiple integrations and customer requirements .troubleshooting certain policy or authentication related issues can sometimes be time consuming, and the management interface could be more modern and user-friendly.

During our production evaluation on Symantec ProxySG, it was the best amongst the products that we tested. However during our migration it is where Broadcom has took over and It was downhill from there. All the experienced technical and sales team have left the company and it was impossible to get help and at the end we need to pay for profession services to get us over the line.
