Puppet is a robust and reliable system. There are a lot of modules available for different operating systems, applications and databases from puppetlabs as well as from puppet community which make it easy to add those systems into our configuration management without having to develop them yourself.
Broad use to automate (and persist) configuration tasks.
Within the Enterprise product there are some very opinionated stances taken that make it difficult to make the base level product work with extending the product for some enterprise needs
Limited support for microsoft windows operating system
Complicated ecosystem. The scaffolding to build modules is more complex than similar tooling.

Powerful Tool but make sure to assign a Puppet "Master" to keep it up to date
The tool is very powerful and has continued to evolve over time. It can do everything we need it to do, but it is getting complicated to do it. Puppet help to initially configure a new Node including install software, application server, deploy new code or create storage folder and setup database, besides that Puppet do a great job to keep the Node in the desired stage by automate run remediation if need.
