The carrier selection and rate-shopping solution provides capabilities that are well beyond the competition and empowers our Transportation team with the agility they require to respond to the ever-changing carrier landscape. We receive white-glove service and support, looking out for us and making sure that we are achieving the maximum benefit of the platform. The solution is continually evolving as Shipium leverages their partnership with multiple tier 1 warehouse management solutions to bring even more value to their customers.
Shipium does not have a separate test environment, only a test mode. This requires some additional planning and forethought when implementing changes to the platform. Carrier error feedback to the end-user during carrier selection can be a bit cryptic. This is something that can be accounted for in the API call from the warehouse management system to make the error messages more user friendly. Carrier failover is a valuable feature, but the API response payload was a bit challenging to implement properly within our warehouse management system.
