good thing about cody is it can be easily used as a pluggin and along with code side by side it can be used to create and optimise your code as well.
My workflow using Cody as an AI assistant in VSCode hasn't been affected by adding this extension. It doesn't interfere with big banners showing recommendations or pushing my main window to the left or to the right of the screen. It is just there to give suggestions only when you want it to.
LLM independence, ease of use, rapid updates in the fast evolving field of LLMs
I sometimes see the suggested method is not as optimized as it should be and at times it doesn't take into the understanding of the promt even if its detailed.
Cody doesn't offer an administrative dashboard where you can control other users. Input automatic completion is missing from the terminal as well. The biggest feature missing though is some privacy features which could make it more competitive for individual developers.
To fully unleash the power of Cody, you have to learn or gather experience on how to use it in the correct way. Also there are no explanations, which model is the best for which use-case.
