SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) Likes & Dislikes
What I like most about this is to manage complex data in a timely manner with less effort. Use SSRS for straightforward, group-level security and use SQL Server for powerful security, including automation, drill-down and filtering options.
Administration and security is fully SQL integrated. This also means it is AD integrated so you don't have much to do here. It is very reliable and has managed to get great performance without disrupting production.
Report scheduling is very convenient, and the user interface is simple yet powerful. You can create cross table and cross database queries very easily.
The Environment which is present or for UI feel that now its outdated. Regular Maintenance is required for the use of the services
The environment feels outdated compared to modern BI tools. You will often need to revert back to Excel for further work. Data modeling needs to be done with SQL views of stored procedures which can get complex very quickly. There is no option for end users to build or modify reports so without IT they can only get what they can see.
For complex data sets, comprehensive SQL knowledge is required, as well as creating complex stored procedures. Also, the radio button selectors for Boolean were true/false which didn't feel very user friendly where users were wanting to select yes/no.

Complex Data Handling Remains Efficient In SSRS Despite UI Design Limitations
SSRS has long been a reliable cornerstone of our eco-system, seamlessly integrating with SQL and Oracle data sources to deliver robust and flexible scheduled reports to the sales team and members, which are presented in a way that they can see this and understand or predict the data. It has ease of configuration, dependable performance, and provides high security and deployment. Using SSRS can complex data can also be solved our ease to manage in time with less efforts - IT-INFRASTRUCTURE1B-10B USDHardwareReview Source
SSRS Offers Reliable Performance but Lacks Modern Reporting Capabilities for Cloud Needs
SSRS is still a great reporting platform, but only if you are still using on-premises SQL servers. If you need anything else it quickly becomes very difficult and complex. As a backend for other BI tools it is great, but don't expect modern reporting output. - TECHNICAL MANAGER10B+ USDIT ServicesReview Source
SSRS simplifies report scheduling, but needs more in depth SQL knowledge for complex reports
SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) provides a powerful solution to provide reports out of the box. Some SQL knowledge is required, particularly for complex data sets, although SSRS simplifies this very nicely. We created hundreds of flexible reports including scheduling which enabled users to get reports in their inbox whenever they needed. - Engineer1B-10B USDRetailReview Source
SSRS Delivers Stable Reporting But Lags Behind in Modern BI Features
SSRS is a reliable and mature reporting platform that delivers stable operational reports. It's not the most modern BI tool, but it consistently does what it is designed to do: produce scheduled and parameterised reports for business users that depend on structured reporting. - ENGINEER50M-1B USDIT ServicesReview Source
Great Tool for Native SQL Server Warehouse
SSRS is a robust tool for building pixel-perfect reports, especially when SQL Server is the primary data source. Supports complex transformations on-the-go and has automated data-driven subscriptions. However, it lacks some features like interactivity and lacks in performance when dealing with large datasets.
