Initially Thinkwise positioned itself as replacement for 4GL RAD environments, today the same product is positioned as Low Code platform. The Thinkwise Software Factory generates applications that can only be run in a Thinkwise client environment, hence every investment done in your applications will gone once you stop paying license & maintenance fees. Since this solution is not as widely used as for example Mendix or Outsystems resources with knowledge are hard to find. You will need to invest in Thinkwise consultants or training of your own staff which has a steep learning curve.
