Tricentis Tosca has delivered excellent results for our Business unit through its model based codeless automation approach, which has significantly reduced maintenance effort and improved test coverage. Its ability to support end to end testing across web, API and enterprise applications has worked pretty well, The seamless integration with out CI/CD has also helped accelerate release cycles and improve overall product quality.

Tosca allows for testing nearly anything you can think of when it comes to software. The modular setup of tests allows for reasonably fast setup of the test cases. Linking to Azure DevOps was possible to allow for consolidated test run reporting.

Tricentis Tosca's module-based approach also significantly reduces the time required to create tests and has a positive effect on their maintainability and further development. We see great potential in further developing and using Vision AI for the automated creation of tests based on functional test case descriptions.

Tosca is a very powerful tool but new users may take time to learn during onboarding. Licensing cost is on the higher side. Vendor support can be improved for faster resolutions of technical issues and blockers.

Pricing, the product is one of the best on the market and they treat it as a near monopoly. Reaching representatives is not easy, and when you do, they are often unable to do much for you due to management. Tricentis' ecosystem is big, but often their advanced solutions are incompatible with other ecosystems out there.

Tosca uses a proprietary solution for version control. This solution is not comparable to the features and functions found in other common version control tools. Our test automation engineers frequently need to work in parallel and merge tests later on, but unfortunately Tosca does not offer this option.

We have been using Tricentis Tosca for several years, primarily for testing web applications and a proprietary application that can only be automated using AI-supported technologies, such as Tosca's Vision AI. Thanks to Tricentis Tosca, we have been able to significantly increase the degree of automation in our functional testing. One of the main reasons for this, in addition to Vision AI being availabe, is that Tosca now enables people in other roles to create automated tests without requiring any development expertise.

As part of our AI-DevSecOps, we selected Tosca from Tricentis as a testing tool, for test automation and also AI based test scripts generation. We are happy on both aspects of this tool. Test automation is one of the best in class and allows us to do much more automation in many platforms including some of the flagship ones like SAP. AI based test generation is increasing our developer productivity by 30-40% from testing aspects, over time we are expecting this to go up. Overall its providing the ROI we expected.
