I like the real-time collaboration, variance analysis, and the integration into our ERP system the best.
It looks like an excel sheet, which is somewhat familiar to people. It is easy to grant/remove users. Once you have worked through difficult configuration, it's easy to copy one year's template to future years.
Helps a lot with consolidations, forecasting, and scenario planning.
I think the thing I dislike about it is it is a little clunky and seemed a little more expensive than competitors.
A little difficult to use at times. Reporting could be much easier. It is extremely overpriced for it's functionality.
It's hard to get good support from Workday, and relying on consultants to help build out solutions and integrate has been a mixed experience. The learning curve is a bit steep.

Adaptive is an effective budgeting software, but doesn't have many bells & whistles. It is a little clunky for users and some of the functionality isn't that straight forward. We are a NFP with not too many tech savvy individuals, and they often have the same difficulties each year using the site.
