Overall, this seems decent. It replaced a system that was very difficult to use and it's certainly better than that. However, there are certain things that are not at all intuitive, which can make things challenging.

Ease of integration and data analysis, along with enhanced budgeting and reporting capabilities
Prior to Oracle we were using spreadsheets for monthly reporting, analysis and budgeting. Switched to Oracle due to it's ease of use, ease of implementation, and the ability to provide the tools we needed -- budgeting (headcount, expenses, revenue), data storage allowing for ease of retrieving and reporting tool that allows us to automate reports distributed throughout the firm. Solid overall Planning & Budgeting solution
EPM has a great set of tools to start and build upon as a company works toward a more integrated financial planning process. While some of the coding and data processes aren't straightforward for a business owner, there are plenty of resources between Oracle and a large number of SIs in the marketplace to help fill that knowledge gap. If possible, I would suggest that there be in-house knowledge for EPM to best help speed implementation and allow for product improvement without spending money at the SIs for support.
