Implementing adaptive planning for large or complex organizations requires highly specialized knowledge. Also, the initial cost for setup and ongoing maintenance is quite high which means that any changes to the original model are hard to make.

Adaptive is an effective budgeting software, but doesn't have many bells & whistles. It is a little clunky for users and some of the functionality isn't that straight forward. We are a NFP with not too many tech savvy individuals, and they often have the same difficulties each year using the site. Workday adaptive planning has been a great tool overall. Its easy to use, helps steamline budgeting and forecasting. Saves a lot of manual effort. There was a bit of learning curve at first, but once I got used to it, the features really helped improve efficiency and collaboration.
