The data and analytics are pretty robust and you get a snapshot of it all into one easy to digest system. You do not have to bounce from platform to platform. Since I spend an equal amount of time in our Workday Learning platform, I also greatly appreciate the seamless way they integrate and talk with each other. Employees can fill out their career goals and skills, background experience, etc and Workday will then make recommendations pulled from Workday learning on offerings that would apply to them.
The ability for employees to view and utilize Opportunity Graph and Career Builder
Ease of tracking progress, ease of submitting information, resume import worked well.
It takes a good amount of time to get up to speed on Workday Talent and how it integrates with other Workday tools and what is eventually possible. I often have to see things from both my side as an admin and then as a user to be able to explain or share what I expect from employees when accessing stuff. I also wish there were more customization options. Pieces often seem blocked off or take workarounds on the back end to complete.
As with all Workday there are few opportunities to configure / customize. Especially a feature to filter out wrong job profile changes for opportunity graph.
There is nothing I came across while using this product that I disliked.

It is a way to assess and gain data and information on employee growth and how they connect to those business wins and goals you are reaching for. I leverage Workday Talent often, having used its reporting features to assess programs I helped deliver to build skills in functional areas we deem necessary. It has helped me target employee needs, identify those employees who are truly aspiring to work ahead and gain much needed skill development, and measure how well the programs are delivering on our needs.
