I particularly like how quickly raw numbers turn into something visual and understandable. It makes day-to-day decision-making easier instead of feeling like a separate technical task. At the same time, it's not trying to be flashy-it focuses more on getting the job done. There are moments where performance could be better, especially with bigger datasets, but for most regular use cases, it does what you expect without unnecessary friction.
Zoho is very effective for core operational systems with enablement of the built in AI for NL queries with support for business analysts and non-technical users who want quick insights without deep modeling
AI-Powered Insights The Ask Zia feature is a game-changer: you can literally type a question in plain English, and it automatically generates the chart or report you need without any manual dragging and dropping. Seamless Data Integration: It connects incredibly well with almost everything, whether our data is in Zoho CRM, Google Drive, or an external SQL database, the sync is reliable and very easy to set up. User Friendly Interface: Unlike other complex BI tools, the learning curve here is very flat. The drag-and-drop report builder is intuitive enough that even our non-technical staff can create their own dashboards with minimal training.
One thing i don't like about Zoho is that it can feel a bit slow when working with large datasets or more complex reports. As your data grows, performance isn't always as smooth as you'd expect. Another issue is that some if the advanced features aren't very intuitive. While basic tasks are easy, going deeper often requires extra effort or technical understanding, which can be frustrating. The interface, although functional, feels slightly outdated compared to other modern analytics tools. Also, customization options in certain charts and dashboards can be limited, which makes it harder to create very specific or highly polished visuals.
Limited support for advanced transformations, ELT pipelines and orchestration. No native Lakehouse or warehouse abstraction. Governance and enterprise controls are a bit basic and limited.
Limited Advanced Visualization: While it's great for standard charts, the options for highly customized or complex pixel perfect design are a bit restricted compared to more expensive tools live Tableau. Complex SQL Logic issues: When creating very deep query tables with multiple SQL joins, the processing speed can sometime slow down. Initial Sync Letency: Sometimes there is a slight delay when syncing data from external cloud sources, which means the reports aren't always 100% real time unless you manually trigger a refresh.
