Product(s): Notion
Overall Comment:"Notion is such a simple yet brilliant tool to organize knowledge. I use Notion as a knowledge sharing tool in the organization I work for, a task tracker to keep my to-do lists up to date, to share project status updates, create databases for recruitment tracking, create 'how-tos' on how to handle system updates with step by step screenshots/details and for almost anything that requires documentation. Whenever I need an answer to something I want to look up, the AI search helps me find what I need so quickly and it shares the referencing the documents so I can click on them and read them up for even more context. Our company policies, company related information and department level knowledge is all on Notion which helps us keep everything in one centralized database with an AI search that helps us get the answers we need quickly and easily. As a new hire, it was so easy for me to find the answers to a lot of the questions I had with the documentation on Notion. This helped me fast track my learning within the first few weeks and identify gaps within the knowledge base so I could help update it for the team."
1. AI search helps us identify answers quickly and the AI tool helps create/ organize content the way we want in such a short time. 2. Ability to keep knowledge centralized within the organization in such an organized manner so everyone has access to this content. This especially helps new hires get up to speed with onboarding documentation that we keep in Notion. 3. Ability to take notes when in meetings, which is a relatively new and great feature. 4. Notion recently launched Notion 3.0 and the Notion agent helps create content, add new tasks to a list, and add information to databases very quickly and easily! 5. Ability to keep certain pages private where I can note down my own learnings and also have shared pages with others when having discussions which increases personal productivity. 6. Ability to use templates when wanting to create a database or a tracker helps save so much time. 7. Ability to create SOPs and checklists within the organization and keep them centralized for easy access which drives efficiency. 8. Ability to collaborate with others in the organization, especially when brainstorming on projects. 9. Cost effective as it's an all in one tool - knowledge hub + note taking tool + personal journal + database holder + productivity partner. 10. Notion now works offline too!! This is super helpful to still jot down notes/ thoughts even when you're on the go.
When working with larger databases, the performance tends to be slower. Also, new users might take some time to get used to the product.
