Overall Comment:"Overall i am really happy with Bigcommerce and VERY glad I selected it. The support team is quick to respond and when we've hit large scale outages they tend to be on it and fixing things very quickly. The platform does what we need it to, it's secure, safe, easy to use and reliable. We've yet to come up with much that between our own internal developers or external developers that we can't do. We have regular sessions with our CSM and have good relationships with other retailers to discuss ideas and concepts and frustrations. Some recent enhancements have slowed us down in the back end/control panel and changes are rolled out without considering some larger merchants. Additionally the Bigcommerce 'out the box' offering is getting more and more limited, as Bigcommerce encourages 'Best in class' third parties, rather than developing their own platform more."
Safety/Security, Out of the box Compliance and overall uptime of the platform.
The fact that bigcommerce are developing their own platform less and less. They begun to promote far more 'third party, best in class' platforms. This means that the core bigcommerce offering in certain areas is incredibly basic and out of date. This means that retailers end up paying a premium for Bigcommerce only to then get stung with additional premuims to have basic functionality which you expect in 2025.
