Offers robust, flexible tools for creative interactive e-learning content with professional results
Captivate not only makes the training creation easier, but also more engaging for the end-user. The platform has allowed us to create new content, as well as import previous slide decks and turn them into e-learning, saving countless hours of recreating content. E-learning comes out polished and professional, and has the ability to build knowledge checks directly into the e-learning. One feature that we find useful is the accessibility options for learnings who need extra support, from captions to visual aids/graphics. The e-learning can be uploaded directly to our LMS without issue.
The weakness of a tool like Adobe Captivate has to do with the fact that this tool is part of a package offered by Adobe Creative, so you will only be able to use the tool if you buy an Adobe subscription: otherwise you won't be able use it or take full advantage of it. If you are using the trial version or no longer require the Adobe package, it is better that you save a backup; otherwise there will be no possibility for you to recover the file.
Interface can feel unintuitive and outdated
For the price, it would be nice to have a larger library of graphics that you can use, instead of having to source free content through the web or purchase graphics to comply with copywriting. The AI graphic tool is useful, but having a larger library of already created content would help save time and money outside of the platform.
