It's ability to scale up as your needs increase, as well as being able to start simply and tweak as you use the product over time.

The biggest drawback is the pricing, which can climb quickly as your usage grows, making it tough for small teams. While the basics are simple, going deeper into customisation takes time and technical know-how so it's not completely plug and play. And when you hit a snag, support can sometimes feel slow, especially if you are on a lower tier plan.

My overall experience with Algolia has been positive. The platform delivers powerful search capabilities and excellent analytics. The pay-as-you-go plan has felt a little unstable at times in terms of cost, especially with issues caused by bots or others reindexing the site. Fortunately, the support team has been fantastic in helping me resolve these challenges, and when budget allows, moving to one of the more stabilised plans is worth considering.
