My overall experience with Glean has been extremely positive, it’s an excellent tool for search management across multiple internal platforms, Glean helps me save a lot of time by providing quick and accurate results from tools like slack, confluence, google drive, and jira, it has really improved productivity and collaboration in our team by making information easily accessible in one place.

I love the powerful and accurate search capability it can search the same things in seconds that will take me manually more than an hour sometimes, also easy integration setup with existing tools with minimal effort and also its very user friendly if we see the interface that the user will use.

Integration, search and llm

Glean has very strong relevance and ranking capabilities across the different sources of truth that we allow it to have access to. Glean can understand what I'm asking and also has the full picture of how it is relevant. This is its strongest asset, and is a game-changer when trying to spin-up a tool or assistant. Its strength also lies in its ability to be tuned and customized without requiring the platform team to step-in; this is a big time saver and another step towards improved efficiency.

Sometimes newly added date takes time to appear in search results and the authentication time for the clean sometimes takes a little longer but it's very minimal and does not affect user productivity.Also, pricing may be slightly higher for small teams or startups

High Cost

Like most new products, the learning curve was a bit steep. The depth of the UI was overwhelming at first, which caused some downtime of trial and error, but the onboarding sessions provided by their AI outcomes manager were superb in answering many of my questions. Since it is such a powerful tool, some of the ways that it works is difficult to understand, and without a thorough understand of its decision-making, I was, at times, left confounded about what was actually happening.

Glean has become a core part of how I work with knowledge across the organization. I am a data and AI-focussed user, thus I rely on it daily to pull together content from many different places to provide background info and context to speed up analysis, documentation, and decision making. It pulls the relevant results and understands my queries which allows for improved efficiencies dramatically. I don't need to spend time pulling documents and sources of truth for the AI to understand.

It's amazing, a strong unified enterprise search across business tools like Jira, Slack, Confluence, Drive and many more. It makes it so easy at the enterprise level, making it internally knowledgeable, easily discoverable and reducing time spent.

We were interested in a complete software for Knowledge Management and Glean was the solution that delivers the best score on all the requirements for our Technical Solutions teams: Core Data Source Integration Centralized Admin Platform Reporting and Analytics Languages offered Extraneous Data Sources ingestion AI Summarization User Experience Vendor was reactive, but given the size of their clientele, was not open to tailoring some features to our specific needs.
