Highly customized business solutions with real-time calculations, but UX needs work
My experience with the Anaplan platform has been great as highly customized solutions can be developed, and its multi-dimensionality and real time calculation were helpful in Business planning Solutions. We use Anaplan for Supply Financial Planning and Analysis, and it enabled us to build a detailed solution at the most granular level across geography and product. It is a low code platform which is easier to develop and implement and makes it easier for business users to read through the back-end calculations approach to see how numbers are calculated. It offers a number of connections and features related to integration which helps in making data load easier and automated. Some if the features of Anaplan related to user experience were still to be improved while it offered great flexibility in designing business solutions, but improvement is required related to building customized user report. In some cases, if using a classic engine for a large and complex solution then performance improvement is needed.
