Highly customisable

What I like most about the Archer IT Risk Tool is its comprehensive approach to risk management. The ability to centralize risk data across different departments and process is a game-changer.

Extensibility framework and automation options, e.g. testing of controls, reporting of solutions, etc.

While it's highly customisable, its downside is its complexity and and some occasion will require professional services support which will cost money. The user interface is not the best unlike newer GRC tools. For complex queries where you generate reports, sometimes there are slow performance issues.

Being too difficult at first to navigate around due to misleading and unknown naming conventions - issues vs risk vs findings etc.

Whilst Archer has a lot of options and capabilities for integration, extensibility frameworks as well as customisations (e.g. automation of control testing for on-prem solutions, cloud, risk aggregation, etc.), the customisation is labour-intensive and can be clunky at times.

Archer IT Provides a very good procuct for Risk management, but it also has very high implementation costs and. a response issue that is less swift.
