Honestly, when we first started evaluating Armis for our environment, i was not expecting the platform to tick as many boxes as it eventually did. We operate in a highly regulated environment where uptime is not just a preference but a matter of operational and safety integrity. The platform sits on a foundation of agentless architecture and an AI driven asset intelligence engine (which i personally like) thats see and manages all our assets in real time. The SRA capability within the platform stood out because it enables granular, identity driven access policies between operational assets and remote users without requiring disruptive changes to the existing infra.

The product provides a multitude of available data sources, making it a good tool for asset visibility. Regarding OT/CPS capabilities - it has the basic understanding of OT environments/protocols, but not top tier. Although it has basic SPAN/TAP analysis available, it has limited ability to alert on true OT-specific threats, or build alerts based on customized queries (e.g. snort).

The asset visibility the platform brings is my favorite, Before Armis we had to use multiple tools and spreadsheets to, I dont know what, to hold our asset inventory together. The platform discovers and classifies all managed and unmanaged assets across the environment, including SCADA, PLCs, and DCS components, without requiring an agent on any of them. The AI driven anomaly detection goes beyond what we expected, its beyond the traditional signature based detection and picks up subtle behavioral deviations in asset activity, which has helped us catch suspicious lateral movement that a traditional firewall would have easily missed. Integration with out existing SIEM, ITSM, SOAR and EDR was very easy and also there was very detailed documentation for all the integrations.

A multitude of available integrations, great integration with IT security tools.

By virtue of this deployment we realized: 1. Complete, real-time asset visibility and protection across the full enterprise 2. Actionable, prioritized remediation task enumeration with less noise and faster risk reduction

I would say the licensing model, as the asset footprint grows, the cost scales in way its difficult to control. The reporting feature also needs some more work in what i see.

Not many OT-specific alerts/capabilities yet.

1. Make sure to allocate staff to the project (even before the program) or else face a long runway to full productivity 2. The tool can find and catalog everything on the network but it cannot always call it by name (makes it less effective downstream when searching for assets by vendor).
