Performance of Aruba Gateways and Controllers Across Market Features
Aruba Gateways and Controllers Likes & Dislikes
Ease of configuration. High Throughput supports many SFP ports that you can use depending on the model you get. High scalability.
Price. Aruba is much cheaper compared to its competitors and better suits small businesses. If you don't require complicated configurations, Aruba is perfect.
the implementation phase via orchestrator is a very usefull
Software can be buggy at times, this is usually in the UI. They are usually patched when issues arise. Configuration triage can be confusing without prior experience. Upgrade process can be cumbersome if you're unexperienced.
We are experiencing a lot of issues with wireless radio quality. Very little documentation is available, and the support only really helps with hardware issues. Creating networks and initial setup isn't easy. No complicated setups available. No sticky MACs or IDP Radius, no frequency configuration or automatic channel change. This might be unsuitable for locations adjacent to airports. Managing updates isn't easy.

Scalable Wireless Infrastructure Noted for Easy Setup, Though UI Bugs Persist
Aruba Gateways (formally called controllers) are pretty straight forward to work with. Setting up is pretty simple, creating clusters, security, etc. works rather well. I've set them up on prem which requires a mobility conductor. Now you set them up using the cloud. There are some quirks here and there, but overall it's a solid backend wireless infrastructure. It's really great to pair these with clearpass for authentication but you can use any other radius. - IT Analyst10B+ USDManufacturingReview Source
