“High Professionalism and Openness Mark Cooperation Experience With BOC Team”

5.0
Feb 12, 2026
I rate my cooperation with BOC very highly. The team demonstrates a high level of professionalism, fast and effective execution, and strong openness to partners needs. At every stage, a proactive attitude, genuine commitment, and attention to relationship quality were clearly visible. The cooperation was carried out in a positive, partnership-based atmosphere, which strongly supported efficient goal delivery and the development of optimal solutions. The overall assessment of the cooperation with BOC is highly positive. In particular, working with the team has been a key success factor in the effective implementation and further development of ADONIS within our organization. Their support in implementing additional application modules and tailoring solutions to our specific needs has been invaluable. Their strong commitment, professionalism, extensive expertise, and experience translate directly into the high quality of delivered solutions and the effectiveness of the implementations. In my view, they are truly an invaluable asset to the company, and their contribution is crtical to the long-term success of the cooperation and the sustainable use of ADONIS in our organization.

CRITICAL

“Functional depth meets significant hurdles in usability and service culture.”

2.0
Feb 26, 2026
My overall experience with Adonis and BOC can best be summarized as a discrepancy between functional power and operational frustration. Technically, Adonis is a powerhouse offering a wide range of features. Its central concept (repository) is one of its greatest strengths. The single source of truth logic works exceptionally well. The system offers a high degree of methodological depth and will certainly scale with company size. I find the database structure to be stable and logically sound. However, my daily work with the system is consistently cumbersome. Some standard features are missing from the Adonis standard, layout management (e.g., snapping attached intermediate events) doesn't work, and DMN or backend access to templates now require the purchase of an extra module at a very high annual cost. It feels like buying a Porsche but having to pay extra for standard features like rearview mirrors and brakes. I also find the rigid 30-minute billing of support requests outdated. An additional issue for me lies in the collaboration with the BOC Group. I find the communication with the Key Account Manager (KAM) to be condescending and defensive. As a customer, I often feel more blamed than supported when problems arise. The error culture and partner management are deficient. In critical situations, there is a lack of proactive accountability and timely problem resolution. Only through multi-stage escalation to the management level was solution-oriented communication restored. This defensive attitude and the lack of feedback from the primary contact person during crises are subsequently damaging the trust necessary for a long-term partnership.

ADONIS Solution: Rich features but a fairly demanding learning curve

    5.0
    Feb 20, 2026
My overall experience with BOC, and particularly the ADONIS solution, is very positive: it's a very comprehensive EBPA/BPM/BPMS suite designed as a single repository for design, documentation, and continuous improvement. The BPMN coverage is robust and industry-standard, with advanced diagram types (especially conversational diagrams), which is rare and useful for certain B2B scenarios, even if they are seldom used. I appreciated the portal/process sharing logic, the templates/guidelines, and the modeling aids, which facilitate the dissemination and alignment of practices. On the other hand, the tool can seem dense at first (menus, submenus): the rich functionality comes at the cost of a learning curve and a user experience that could be improved. I would also like simple animation of the flows and tokens to facilitate the dynamic reading of the diagrams without necessarily going as far as execution/simulation. This would allow non-experts to grasp the BPMN standard.

From my perspective, ADONIS and the services provided by BOC deliver significant value to the organization and play a key role in effective process management. It is a robust and mature tool that enables structured and efficient management of processes, while also serving as a central source of knowledge and data that supports informed decision-making across the organization. ADONIS significantly streamlines the implementation of changes by providing access to consistent, up-to-date, and well-structured data. This allows for faster, more conscious, and data-driven decisions. The tool supports not only the analysis of the current state but also the design and planning of future solutions, contributing to greater operational efficiency and improved coordination of process-related initiatives. I particularly value the customization capabilities of ADONIS, which make it possible to tailor the solution to the actual needs of the organization. As a result, the tool goes beyond simple process documentation and actively supports process governance, development, and continuous optimization. An essential part of this success is the cooperation with BOC partners, who continuously support our organization in the implementation of additional application modules and in adapting them to our specific requirements. Their strong engagement, professionalism, extensive expertise, and experience directly translate into the quality of the delivered solutions. In my view, this combination of a flexible and reliable tool with highly competent partners is a key factor in the successful adoption and ongoing development of ADONIS within our organization.

What I like best about ADONIS is its central concept. The object-oriented architecture enables highly efficient repository management, where changes to central objectssuch as roles, IT systems, or documentsare automatically reflected in all linked process models. This single source of truth guarantees exceptionally high data consistency and significantly minimizes manual maintenance effort throughout the entire process lifecycle. The tool and its icons are intuitive and easy to use. I find the quick-access menu particularly helpful in my daily work. Furthermore, the system's functional depth and maturity are impressive. As a comprehensive expert system, it offers extensive capabilities for mapping complex organizational structures and demanding methodological requirements. It is a stable and powerful platform that, in my experience, can scale with the growing needs of a company.

What I appreciate most is the functional depth and the ability to cover multiple perspectives (process, architecture, governance) within the same environment. BPMN modeling is a real strength: compliance/best practices, high-quality graphical rendering, and support for less common diagrams when needed. The openness and industrialization are also valuable (BPMN DI import/export, APIs, and capaCIT2S D4INT2GRATION, which helps integrate into a well-equipped system). DMN support is a plus for linking processes and decision logic, particularly in decision optimization initiatives. Finally, the digital twin approach (and the analysis/simulation options) provides a credible path to move beyond documentation and towards decision support.

Dislike

I am fully satisfied with the solution. ADONIS is a very intuitive and user-friendly tool.

Dislike

Some basic BPMN standards are missing, and layout management (snap-together intermediate events) is unnecessarily time-consuming or not enabled. Administrative autonomy has been curtailed and hidden behind expensive paywalls or consulting services. Furthermore, the forced switch to a Linux infrastructure was communicated opaquely and too late, resulting in avoidable migration costs. I find the communication problematic. While support is quick, it is sometimes defensive and not solution-oriented. I rarely feel supported when technical issues arise. Incorrect advice was only admitted after internal escalation, and account management sometimes failed to respond to inquiries during crisis periods. The inflexible billing model (30-minute increments) hinders efficient knowledge sharing on detailed questions rather than promoting it. Another critical aspect is the disproportionate pricing model for add-on modules. Many features that are already included in the basic version of competing products as industry standards require expensive licensing from ADONIS. This paywall mentality means that even basic methodological extensions (like DMN) or administrative adjustments (property management for additional attributes) result in exorbitant additional costs. When you have to charge mid-three-figure monthly fees or high module prices for standard features that competitors provide natively, the overall system's profitability suffers significantly. The customer is essentially being asked to pay again for every necessary upgrade.

Dislike

- The learning curve can be steep: rich functionality means a dense interface. - Navigation (menus/submenus, multiple options) can be slow in the first few days. - Customization (metamodel, views, attributes) is powerful but requires real admin/method skills. - I would have liked a more dynamic visualization of the flows (simple token animation) to aid readability, even before the simulation. - The simulation exists and is robust, but it requires configuring data/resources: lightweight animation would be a good addition. In summary: excellent BPMS, but the UX could be improved for initial adoption.
