From an admin perspective, Process Manager is quite an easy tool to navigate. Tho I think there is a room for improvement. Certain processes are designed in not user-friendly way - for example, Acess rights. Those should be assigned from User group level, not other way arround (currently we assign Users to Folders). Also, setting attributes and linking them to a dictionary is not a straight forward process. There should also be an option to create custom reports by Admins.

SAP Signavio Process Transformation Suite Likes & Dislikes

There are several features of the product which I am a huge fan of. Firstly, the Quickmodel tool provides an easy-to-use format in which to very quickly model what we call the 'happy path' i.e. the initial linear path of tasks that forms the spine of a process model. It enables users to make a quick start and to build momentum easily. The second aspect of the tool that I really like is the configurable modelling convention checks. This enables me to create a set of rules that the tool automatically checks process models against, either manually or at the point of saving changes. These checks enable users to perform their own QA and resolutions before submitting models for review, which in turn saves a huge amount of manual effort in checking each and every attribute of every object in every model. Thirdly, the Collaboration Hub provides a well set-out UI for stakeholders to view the process models and interact with the people who are actively creating them in the Process Manager. It is a valuable tool that enhances buy-in, promotes teamwork and helps deliver an end product that is less likely to be challenged.

I believe it is easy for end users, there is a room for customization, also Sap Signavio support works good.

What I like most about this Suite is its ability to provide clear end-to-end process visibility in a collaborative environment. Intuitive process modeling and process mining capabilities help identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities quickly. I quickly appreciated how it connects business and IT teams through a shared platform, enabling better alignment, transparency, and data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

Dislike

As a web-based tool, there is no option to assign commands to the right-mouse button. This means that some of the quick menu commands are often displayed over the top of other objects, which can be a little frustrating. The standard reports are not very comprehensive, but the existing reports can be mashed together to display information in different ways. There are still some gaps though. The pre-loaded SAP content is quite hit and miss. Most of it sits at the wrong level of granularity (too high level) and the modelling of those best practice processes does leave quite a bit to be desired.

Dislike

Each customization takes quite a long time. Some features are implemented in a way that is not user-friendly. You need to have all Signavio suits to be able to use system effectivly (but you need to pay for all licenses before getting there)

1) Steep Learning Curve - New Users often require structured training to understand BPMN modeling standards, process mining concepts & advanced analytics features 2) Performance Issues with large models - When working with complex end-to-end enterprise processes and maps, the tool can feel slow and laggy 3) High licensing and expansion costs - Scaling access beyond core process teams can become expensive, limiting broader organizational usage

    My experience with SAP Signavio has been positive, particularly when used alongside SAP S/4HANA and SAP Business Process Automation. It provides clear visibility into how processes run, helping teams identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies and improvement opportunities using real data rather than assumptions. The platform is effectively for organisations like us who are heavily invested in SAP. However, its value decreases when used outside that ecosystem or when process data is fragmented across many non-SAP systems.
