Easy configuration and setup as well as maintenance. Use of bot manager to provide geo blocking with conditional actions - this allowed us to customise geo blocking on a much more detailed level. Protection from bots hitting the website, it has been fundamental in reducing the unwanted traffic to our origins.

We have had no issues with BOT manager but we experienced a bit of a learning curve initially but the support provided by Akamai meant it wasn't much of a problem.
Could be costly for small and medium companies Licensing model is hard to understand It lacks flexibility, limiting adaptability across dynamic environments
Cost is steep, and due to its cost it is often a conversation at an exec level as to whether to pivot. We are able to protect this but it doesn't make conversations easy. Training could be improved. Whilst the product is flexible, sometimes we need to involve professional services. This could be easier to engage for short term projects.
