We bought a VG420 for one of our newly constructed buildings and Cisco sent us a box packed VG420 which is supposed to be tested and checked before sending to the customer. We we try to configure and tried to use it through us dsp heartbeat timeout errors.

Very good QoS feature compare to other similar products. Easy to deploy. Mostly preferred is Virtual Appliance because of configuration pre-requisites which are easily manageable.

Overall a good product, but it needs to be improved more in few fields.

We have implemented the BlueCoat Packet Shaper 4 month ago in our organization. Our overall experience on average. Not bad or not more good also. First is we are not able to create any user, auto generated report is showing volume (application usage data amount) it should be bandwidth. When we create manual report then its only graph based report so any non technical person (management level) will not understand that.

I had a very positive experience with Cisco WAAS. It is a very good platform for optimising your ISP and your bandwidth usage. Cisco has always been known for its network optimising solutions, but this is one of the best products on the market. Policies can be defined not only on the basis of IP addresses but on the basis of applications as well like Teams, Zoom etc where you need proper bandwidth without any lag. Overall, it is a must product and I am very happy to have it.
