Citrix DaaS Likes & Dislikes
What I like best about Citrix DaaS are Applications and desktops are published reliably, and users are provided with access to the applications and desktops, ensuring that they are performed well and are accessible from anywhere. Policies, access control, and monitoring are centrally managed, which improves security and simplifies administration The end users are provided with a smooth and stable experience, even in remote work scenarios.
Dedicated app for user access, allows for protective and selective install to only users who need it.
I personally find Citrix' security its strongest suite. It has multiple options for authentication; it enables companies to customize their policy controls down to the tee based on their business needs; and it facilitates centralized management very effectively. I think all of these features are a must have especially for a company that manages multiple remote team members across the world.
What I dislike most about Citrix DaaS is mainly When something goes wrong, especially performance or session issues, it often takes time to pinpoint the exact cause and usually requires deep Citrix knowledge. Since Citrix relies on multiple components working together, an issue in one area can quickly impact the overall service. Basic support is fine, but advanced problems can take longer to resolve and often need multiple follow-ups.
User time outs, server issues and geo restriction can be an issue.
I had a conversation with one of our team members who works in IT and he mentioned that one of the drawbacks for Citrix is it gave them confusion when it came to the licensing and pricing. Since they were required to submit an overall cost estimate when they first set it up - he mentioned that they were at first bamboozled on the pricing and scaling - the cost adds up when you are adding features so there's a need to carefully set it up with the team members and the Citrix representatives.

Reliable Desktop and Application Publishing with Some Operational Complexity
Overall, my experience with Citrix DaaS has been positive, particularly for application publishing in our environment. The platform is stable and scalable. Application and access control functions well, and integration with cloud infra has made management easier. However, troubleshooting can sometimes be complicated and need more in-depth analysis. Documentation and support are good. Overall, it effectively meets our business needs. - Customer Service & Support Associate50M-1B USDHealthcare and BiotechReview Source
Citrix Offers Robust Scalability and Security But Presents Licensing Confusion
I am giving Citrix a 5/5 rating due to 2 reasons: Firstly, I personally find that it lets you operate your business literally from anywhere. You can access it using your PC, phone, tablet, laptop - which makes it very ideal for remote workers. Second, its scalability is just chef's kiss - it's rarely an option for a service to let you scale down, usually it's just for ramping up your team. But not with Citrix. I think that because it doesn't require more maintenance compared to other desktop services, Citrix is going to reduce your infrastructure cost in the long run. - ENGINEER<50M USDIT ServicesReview Source
Frequent Timeouts and Server Issues Reported With Citrix DaaS Experience
My overall experience with Citrix is very fit and miss, I never deployed this service so this might be the reason for this review. I am always battling with slow tool responses, lack of user control and constant headaches with users being blocked or users having time outs. From a overall security point of view DaaS seems to aging very poorly with the likes of zero trust services quickly replacing them. - IT Associate1B-10B USDManufacturingReview Source
Reliable Connectivity With Multiple Remote Desktops and Strong Security Features
Works fine when connecting to multiple remote desktops. Great speeds and connectivity to on prem servers. Great security and integrates well with our mandatory 2FA authentication - It Associate<50M USDHealthcare and BiotechReview Source
Low Infrastructure Demands Seen, Difficulty in Error-Tracing During Complex Setups
Requires very little on-premises infrastructure, and we’ve never noticed any service downtime.
