CodeSignal Interview Likes & Dislikes
I like that Codesignal allows a user to code in any language that they want, which breaks down the barrier that I as the interviewer don't need to know the language the candidate is coding in and they have their entire setup ready to go. I also like that you can input secret test cases that the candidate cannot see in addition to the test cases the candidate can see to make sure their solution accounts for various edge cases. I also like that I can see where the candidate is typing and that the prompt is shown to them on the side so I don't have to type the prompt out and I can also go and help them with their code exactly where they are currently typing.
Good shared coding experience Lots of test cases run after submission Having a score generated after submission is neat
* The flexibility and feature richness of its interview platform was quite attractive, especially when it came to the ability to conduct interactive notebook interviews * They have a responsible and supportive team -- our team provided feedback on the product, some of which was quickly addressed by their team. * It's quite easy to integrate with our existing systems like Greenhouse, and it was simple to start up a new interview or create a templated question.
I think 1 weakness is that sometimes the test cases assume there is 1 correct answer but based on what the candidate's solution is, there could be more than 1 correct answer that is just outputted differently, which I don't think is accounted for. I also dislike that there is not an easy way for me to prep for a test interview with the candidate's setup - I have to go and create a separate interview which might interfere with the recruiting team's pipeline. I also think an improvement can be ensuring that once I exit an interview after a certain period of time, it automatically closes the interview. Sometimes I forget to hit the final submit and close button, which isn't great because the candidate can go back in and see the question again, potentially leading to leaked information to future candidates.
The problem library seemed to have a lot of very easy or very hard problems, harder to find intermediate tasks to set The coding window doesn't feel as ide like as it could, need to run code to find errors that could easily just be highlighted automatically Cant see where everyones cursor is/what they have highlighted
* It's still lacking in the ability to fully integrate with its notebook solution -- I had a difficult time trying to templatize the notebooks and data backing it. * The ability to conduct database-related interviews is still somewhat limited, and wasn't satisfactory for us in conducting our SQL-based interviews

Terrific product for engineering teams looking for a powerful technical interview tool
CodeSignal has been a super useful tool that has allowed our team to conduct data science interviews easily. Its functionality provided access to interactive notebook-based interviews which other similar services don't provide, and it drastically improved our ability to hire for high quality candidates. Overall, I'm quite pleased by the product. It doesn't have all the features I would've liked to see yet, but the team was very responsible and helpful in terms of implementing certain feature asks. - Senior Software Engineer50M-1B USDInsurance (except health)Review Source
Overall this is a good tool, would recommend it, but there are better out there
Administration is a little tricky at first but once you have templates setup then managing interviews is easy enough. The actual code experience overall works quite well but isn't as polished as some other examples out there. - Software Engineer1B-10B USDTelecommunicationReview Source

You'll be fine with CodeSignal for interviewing
I use CodeSignal as an interviewer for software engineering roles. Never used the built in automatic screening stuff. CodeSignal has it all: you can set up an interview session and watch someone solve a problem. You can write your own problem. The interviewee can run their code. They don't have to do much to sign up. You can share the session with a short URL. We don't do much in the way of integration, and CodeSignal doesn't get in our way. It takes some learning to understand how templates, tasks, and questions all work. More on that later.
