What is Consensus Platform?

Consensus is a Product Experience Platform built to shorten the sales cycle by focusing on enabling buyers with tailored interactive demonstrations and other product experiences they want throughout the sales cycle. Revenue teams present product content and leverage analytics to align buyer stakeholders based on persona priorities and specific outcomes. The platform includes: 1) On-Demand Video Demos: Videos demos created by product experts that give buyers the ability to see what the product does and assess its value 2) Interactive Product Tours: Clickable demonstrations that illustrate key features and allow buyers to try the product for themselves 3) Automated Product Simulations: Sharable simulated environments buyers can leverage to delve into deep product functionality and reinforce strategic value. Sales reps share demos from integrations or Chrome extensions and help buyers personalize their experience by ranking features based on relevance, eliminating unwanted noise. They then consult Consensus Demolytics, which are analytics that provide insights into buyer intent and stakeholder engagement with heat maps and persona-level view data.

Consensus has a great, helpful team. They acquired other platform to further expand their product offering to dynamic demos/tours and overall the product is not difficult to use, while adding value to both sales processes (inbound + outbound) and customer onboarding.

“Strict Auto-Renewal Policy Raises Concerns About Consensus Customer Satisfaction Approach”

Consensus doesn't seem to care about customer success until the renewal comes around. And watch out, they have very extreme auto-renewal terms that require you to formally notify within 90 days of contract renewal. We indicated our dissatisfaction with the product's technical limitations throughout our first year as a customer, and even stated they would impact our ability to renew. The Consensus team didn't send the renewal notification to anyone who signed our contract or made the original purchasing decisions. They sent it to our product's end user: our sales team who is focused on other things outside of SaaS admin/billing. Never in my life have I seen such blatant disregard for customer satisfaction and customer success. I'm writing this review as a warning to my fellow professionals.

1) I like how well it handles on-demand, personalized demos which are easy to build and incredibly effective at engaging prospects early in the sales cycle. 2) I really value the analytics and engagement tracking, which give us clear insight into what matters most to each viewer. 3) The integration with our existing tools, like Highspot or Salesloft has made adoption smooth and kept our workflow seamless

Dislike

There isn't much negative feedback that I have about the Consensus product offering. One thing that came up recently is that we would love the ability to use the demo walkthroughs as almost a landing page and have additional collateral or data capture on the pages. Not a dislike about the product though!

The only downside is the initial learning curve: some of the terminology takes a bit to get used to, but once it clicks, everything falls into place.

    Our experience with Consensus has been excellent so far. The sales process felt genuine: our rep really took the time to understand our needs and didn't push anything that didn't fit. Since onboarding, our CSM has been incredibly helpful and responsive. It's clear that the team genuinly cares about making sure we're successful, which has made a big difference in how we've adopted the platform.

    Mastering Demoboard: The Need for Simplified User Replacement Features

    I really enjoy making libraries in order to to create demoboards with tours and other demos. Moreover, the fact that you can send public links is very useful. However, I find that the last improvement to have interval of dates search is not very relevant or intuitive. Indeed, sometimes we want to look at all the demoboards we've made and we have to fill in a range of dates which is annoying.
