We like the data discovery, labeling, and classification process, and the ability to build policies that target specific areas of concern around access to data and data handling and retention.
We were able to deploy this solution at scale very quickly with a small number of team members. We deployed at the Org level with read only roles across a large number of CSP's and Accounts and had inventory scan results in a matter of days. Most of our data sources were connected within 30 days and we had enterprise visibility and classification done within a couple months of onboarding. Just incredible! And the most amazing thing now integrated with the solution is CY the AI bot that allows you to prompt your data to find an amazing amount of intel about your data and risks to prepare your enterprise for all the AI use cases you are about to roll out.
The labor involved in forming the correct policies. The lack of proper alerting around health deployment issues.
1. No continuous monitoring. 2. Filters and reporting are not super intuitive. 3. False-positive results from policies.
We are waiting for our ability to fully customize our dashboard and widgets which is coming out shortly. But this is cosmetic and users have personal preferences for how they want to see the results when they login. This is coming out this quarter, so that's good.

High Quality Classifications, Easy Deployment, and Some Policy Labor
The Cyera Classification Engine offers a greater degree of quality than other competitors in the field. They don't rely on pure regex, nor do they try and manually enumerate the entire corpus of data elements that exist in the entire world (two fundamentally flawed approaches in other systems). Their ability to detect and classify business context (aka not just "name", but "customer name") and their ability to automatically detect and create new data element types opens up new avenues for compliance and governance workflows. Furthermore, they can handle the large datasets I handle across multiple data storage locations. Their agent-less deployment has made it easy to cover my entire stack quickly. I have found their policy engine to be a little brittle in comparison to the high quality classification engine, and forming the right policies to align them with my company goals is a manual labor process that will hopefully soon be automated. I have also had some issues with aligning on the complete size of my data before contracting, since they contract around raw data size.
