My experience with Dell VxRail has been mixed. On the one hand, it offers flawless integration with VMware and centralized management that truly simplifies infrastructure provisioning and scaling, on the other hand, updates sometimes fail, requiring itensive tecnical support, and VMware acquisition by Broadcom has significantly increased licensing cost.

VxRail's robust integration with VMware has enabled efficient virtualization the built-in automation and security features have enhanced operational resilience it has been a stable and high-performing foundation for our critical workloads

VxRail offers robust integration with VMware, as it's a fully validated appliance combining vSphere and vSAN, simplifying management and seamless across the scaling VMware ecosystem. Additionally, its centralized management and integration updates via VXRail Manager enable unified administration and single-package lifecycle upgrades.

This is the best use case for our remote site and was integrating with our stack

expensive pricing and licensing fees, which significantly increased our TCO compared to competitors dynamic scaling options are somewhat limited, making it harder to adapt to changing workloads VxRail is going away, and being replaced by Private Cloud

VxRail one-click updates are very problematic and require constant support from Dell. This has resulted in long wait times, especially since the post-Broadcom transition has made renewals confusing, expensive, and slow. Additionally, Broadcom's acquisition has eliminated VMware perpetual licenses, forcing costly VCF/VSF subscriptions that have doubled or tripled costs.

It is an excellent product for virtualizing server environments, with large capacities. Firmware updates for clusters are not very simple and if you miss versions you will have more problems. After a while I found out that the nodes need to be rebooted from time to time to perform a kind of refresh necessary to avoid firmware alarms.
