Denodo has a variety of features which have been very useful. Such as data pipelines, live data monitoring and security features. Though it takes a lot of work to optimize the performance, it is very much worth it.

Denodo Data virtualization technology needs the right sizing of the clusters for the specific usecases. Adhoc analysis with data intergration between BigSql (Hadoop) and DB2 has been challenging. We needed the ability to create temp tables which has been addressed now. Denodo cache is great for short term data analysis.

Implementation is a bit complex. Due to policies and compliance standards. So, it will take some time to fully integrate. Need to be careful while allocating resources. Otherwise, if your data is too big and resources can't support it, it's trouble. Limited reporting - better to use some external tool for reporting and creating dashboards.
