Dragos is a company dedicated to industrial cybersecurity, focusing on the protection of critical infrastructure. The Dragos Platform provides technology that enables visibility into Industrial Control Systems/Operational Technology (ICS/OT) assets, vulnerabilities, threats, and mitigation strategies. This platform supports a broad range of industries such as electric, oil and gas, manufacturing, chemical, government sectors and more. The company's strength lies in its capacity to incorporate its comprehensive OT threat intelligence and insights from the service team into the software. Dragos maintains a worldwide presence, with its main operations based in the Washington, DC area, and regional operations in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and the Middle East.

Depth of insight on how to manage our security posture in OT. Continued partnership in our success and taking feedback from us on how to further improve the product. Ongoing development has increased the value and allowed for cross functional enablement. Dragos has consistently offered support to our senior leadership, executives, and board to communicate the importance of responding to the coming threats. They have been one of our strongest partners.
Risk-based vulnerability management.
- Powerful asset inventory capability - Vulnerability management - Peerless OT intelligence gathering and insights - OT-centric network monitoring These features were key gaps in our environment that I do not think would have been filled otherwise, even through multiple other products. Dragos are THE experts when it comes to industrial and OT cybersecurity. My team and I have been approached by multiple other OT cyber vendors and have demoed their products. None of these come close to what Dragos offers.
Forthcoming features have occasionally arrived later than communicated.
Difficulty of deployment
- Asset inventory is not perfect, but this is not entirely Dragos's fautl. Dragos will sometimes treat the MAC and IP address of the same physical device as two different assets, because it's not capable of recognizing that these come from the same device. - The map occasionally has rendering issues when a large number of assets are loaded. - Specifically to the Zones feature, moving a condition from match any to match all, or vice versa, is not possible. When I was re-engineering the zones at one point, I had to delete the existing conditions we had under match all and redo them under match any, instead of being able to just move them to match any. - Dragos has recently begun to increase the tempo of updates and knowledge packs. While overall this is a good thing, we have been plagued by issues when applying version upgrades to the Platform, so it seems like some additional QA would be a great benefit. Many times there will be a handful of Sensors that don't take an upgrade and we have to troubleshoot using more manual methods. Other times, an upgrade will take but suffer from internal issues that require in-depth troubleshooting.
