The product works but when there is a hiccup, which is partly something that I have done on our end or introduced new technology to the office, Druva has responded with a solution. For instance I started with physical servers then migrate to 50/50 Physical and Virtual. In between used NAS as a storage device. With every new technology I introduced to the company, Druva had a Physical server, a NAS and Virtual backup solution waiting for us to use. But hands down is the TECH SUPPORT staff. You can tell a lot about a company based on how they treat their customers after we invested in their products.
The fileserver fix was a huge plus allowing us to do file level restorals without issue. This is a major plus over others.
Data Lock is needed, with it you can sleep quietly! The setup is easy and user friendly, very clear! To speed up your restore, Druva has implemented a feature called Cloud Cache. It permits you to copy an additional backup to your local NAS, and the restore is naturally faster.
There is nothing I dislike, but the world of Offsite/Cloud based backup is the cost associated with the service. The more data we have the more it costs even if the more we use gives us a better price. Its money. Sometimes I find myself trying to balance how long to keep backup vs. the cost of long term storage. That doesn't mean the product is bad, its just the cost of doing business. It can be a an issue if the decision not to retain the data for longer period of time comes at a cost of loss data.
The products interface is extremely confusing. It requires going through sometimes 5 different tabs to reach a destination hidden underneath the console such as seeing all jobs or the logs of a single job.
Proxy machines could be a weakness. Without it, your backups will stop, even if the optimal notification system informs you quickly. The cost of credit might be a bit expensive, particularly for small companies. Another small thing to keep in consideration is that if the Data Lock is enabled to a vm, you cannot edit the retention period, replace or attach another backup policy, and delete backup sets.

Streamlining Backups with Data Loss Prevention: Simplicity and Security
The product is simple and secure for our company. Backup is a fundamental argument in these periods. Data Lock is the solution to malware and cryptolocker. Druva allows you to install a light console on your Vmware environment and in a few minutes it is connected to Druva platform with a secure key. After this, you are ready to create a profile and a schedule to add your virtual machine to the backup. We use Druva in 3 different modes: VMware copy as I have described above, but also to copy Microsoft 365 accounts, e-mail and one drive stuff.
