The Architect product is very customizable. However, you have to be a programmer with a great deal of experience with the specifics on how each of the many customization files works and interacts with the system. The customer either has to have dedicated staff specifically trained in the care and feeding of the Architect platform or expect to pay Fiserv a great deal of money for the engagement to do any kind of major upgrade work.
Once the PSAs were signed and the work began the Fiserv Architect team was well versed in the customization required for the software. However, in order to get to that point and complete the contract negotiations for the engagement Fiserv has the most archaic, outdated, and convoluted way of processing contracts I have ever seen. In order to engage the project team on the Fiserv Architect side, it took no less than 4 months to agree to and complete the initial contractual work for a version upgrade. This was not an MSA or major contract, this was simply for the version upgrade we were engaging them to help with.

Architect is a very customizable and also very complex online banking solution that is based on some older software techniques that require a great deal of customization, and interaction with the service staff in order to get the software working as expected. The installation took longer than expected and required a lot of assistance from the vendor in the form of PSAs to complete the work in a timely manner.
