“FortiClient EMS Enables Streamlined Access and Visibility Across Multiple Locations”

5.0
Aug 22, 2025
It feels truly exceptional when it comes to customization and acceptability. We started with Controlled VPN like Auto-Connect VPN, Network Lockdown (another feature we are very much happy to ensure that Users are not bypassing the Auto-VPN Connect) and URL Filtering to have control on the Internet Access of Users when they are working from Home / Remote. Later, we migrated to ZTNA after evaluating along with a few other Vendors. Here, we have multiple FortiGate Firewalls in multiple plant and Branch locations, where we can integrate with FortiClient EMS (Management Portal) within minutes and simultaneously users can access the resources in any branch location. On the other hand, we have one more cloud account where FortiGate Firewall was not there initially, but still ZTNA over IPSEC VPN feature supported to have the seamless Access. The other one was the Vulnerability Assessment and Management feature which helped us avoid investing again on another solution to procure, deploy, manage and operate. This made our work simplified. The best part was, integration with the existing FortiAnalyzer VM to get built-in reports and Dashboards, even the FortiClient EMS based dashboard also helped us a lot in terms of visibility.

focused more on remote users who works from outside the office or in client or vendor users for access limited to necessary applications. we don't face any problem in our use in organization, but product limitation is their when compared to other ZTNA vendors or products.

Fortinet Universal ZTNA Likes & Dislikes

Like

Integration with existing FortiGate and FortiAnalyzer Platform. Unified Agent to avoid multiple agents for every separate task like ZTNA / URL Filtering / Vulnerability Assessment. Service wise, we haven't faced any challenges as the solution itself made our tasks easy particularly in validating the Patches, Checking the Online/Offline Status. Checking whether the user is part of the Office Network or not and based on that to enable ZTNA is straightforward through On-Fabric Detection Rules.

Like

ZTNA of idea to limiting the access to resources from outside, clear and visibility of user access and application segmentation, cannot continue the connection for long period time.

Like

What I like most about FortiClient ZTNA is its ability to enforce Zero Trust principles in a very practical way. Every user must be authenticated with MFA and meet security guidelines (to ensure end user device has required security compliance as per our policy), every session will be reviewed against these principles to ensure security is never compromised.

Dislike

I haven't observed anything as such. We are comfortable with the solution in our organization, Users also never complained on their Device utilization because of FortiClient as it is light weight when it comes to utilizing the CPU / Memory.

Dislike

latency when access the resource via vpn feel too slow, if it adds low internet speed it will be more difficult in troubleshooting session.

Dislike

The availability of public documentation is somewhat limited. However, once we engaged with the local Fortinet team, we were able to access the required learning resources, which helped us build the right skills and manage operations effectively.

FortiClient ZTNA Balances Network Security and Performance with Reliable Stability

    5.0
    Aug 30, 2025
We have been using FortiClient ZTNA for secure remote access to our corporate applications and internal network. Over time, we have seen the solution mature with improved stability and performance. It provides us with the right balance between strong security controls and a consistent user experience. Even with the Zero Trust model in place, our end-users can connect to business applications reliably without facing disruptions. This has helped us support both regular employees and third-party contractors in a secure way, which was one of our key requirements.

FortiClient ZTNA Provides Integrated Security Without Extra Connectors or Agents Required

    5.0
    Aug 11, 2025
FortiClient ZTNA is one of the best solutions we have in our Organization's Security Portfolio as we have complete control on User - Servers - Applications Access 24/7. As it is integrated with the existing FortiGate Next Generation Firewall, making us to avoid any other Servers / Connectors to be deployed like other Zero Trust Network Access Solutions we validated during the PoC period, which is our mandatory process before selecting the Product / Vendor in our organization. We have integrated with our Active Directory Services, On-boarding of users / Endpoints became super easy with a single click. The solution supports Agentless ZTNA Option which is helping us in accommodating the Third-Party Vendors who were not installing any additional software on their machines.

Comprehensive Visibility and Control for Remote Access and Application Management

    5.0
    Aug 12, 2025
Seriously, this solution made our job easier and gave a better user experience than the traditional VPN solution. Also, increased the Security Coverage in terms of Remote Users and Critical Internal Assets. Core Advantages of the solution I will mention are Complete Visibility and Control of User Machines and Access to Applications and Services, Simple Integration with existing FortiGate Next Generation Firewall which made us to skip additional deployment of any other Virtual Machines as Connectors, Simple On-boarding of Users & Endpoints through AD integration. This includes the Agentless ZTNA solution as well for 3rd Party Users from our Vendor Side. So, considering the above points (including Vulnerability Management), FortiClient is one of the powerful Security solutions we have in our Organization.
