The user interface is clean and easy to use. Workspace is focused on the most used functions so it's easy to use all the applications without any training and support. There are plenty of intelligent functions to collaborate and help users do their job.
Read Full ReviewGone are the days of having to pass a document back and forth over email without being sure that what you're working with is the most recent version. There was so much room for error. I love that I can start a document and invite a collaborator to engage with it in a variety of ways. Being a part of a franchise organization, I have colleagues all across North America. Google Workspace allows us to join forces and work together toward a common goal without an organizational nightmare.

I don't like the product segmentation i.e. if you only lack the storage space you have to upgrade your pricing plan paying for additional features you don't need. Extending storage is possible too, but the price is not attractive for small companies. However, Workspace is not an expensive service in general and offers good value for money.

See Full DiscussionYeah, I think that using YouTube within Google Workspace can definitely present privacy concerns, including (and especially) third-party data sharing, content exposure risks, and inconsistent privacy protections compared to core services. Challenges include data residency compliance, inadequate access controls, and integration vulnerabilities.
Some of My Key Recommendations Would Be:
- Enforce clear policies and educate users on safe YouTube usage.
- Regularly audit YouTube settings for compliance and security.
- Leverage Google's tools like the Cloud Data Processing Addendum and YouTube management guide.
- Proactive measures can help mitigate risks while ensuring compliance and security.

See Full DiscussionWe've been a long time user of Google Workspace. We've also had to maintain a parallel set of Microsoft licenses (Office suite only - Word, Excel Powerpoint etc) for a portion of the organization. We will never be able to get to Google only - we have requirements for external content sharing/collaboration requirements (e.g. legal, procurement), application specific support for MS Office only, or at times simply user preference. We periodically have to harvest Microsoft licensing to avoid too much overlap. It imposes an approval process - who also gets Office. The use of both tools creates some inconvenience when moving between file formats both within the organization as well as externally sharing - they're pretty compatible but there are always formatting and other minor issues. We will not consider chrome enterprise premium. If we were migrating anywhere, it would be to standardize on Microsoft, though it's not high on the priority list at the moment.
