Hootsuite has a lot of funding and power in the platform. It goes beyond basic functionality and you can really deploy a sophisticated social media platform suite.
Hootsuite allows me to add my social networks in a simple way, allowing me to schedule publications on all my social networks at the same time, the implementation of this tool has been a positive point for me and for the company since it allows me to be more interactive with followers and attract new customers.
Having a restriction on the size of image you can upload to certain posts. I can upload the same larger image via the actual platforms so I find the restrictions quite frustrating at times
The posting user experience, layout and UX leaves a lot to be desired. They layout the platforms like cards - almost like trello but to me it is messy and causes disorganization. I prefer more simple layouts like buffer. Hootsuite has a lot of power, but usually you have to pay for these as add on services which can get expensive.
It is a fairly complete and easy to handle tool, but a clear problem is that it does not let you program threads on Twitter, only isolated publications.
