- Centralized and homogeneous management of the whole networking infrastructure (wired and wireless) via Aruba Central - Excellent performance - Integration with HP GreenLake - Programmable firmware updates
Really like how similar to cisco. If you are familiar with Cisco, then you would make have no problems running Aruba switches.
Large PoE capacity was a must for our deployment, and the JL659A was perfect for that. Also, the Aruba NetEdit software is very handy for managing multiple switches in single pane of glass. Easy to configure with mobile devices as well with the USB bluetooth interface. Lifetime warranty is always a plus.
Some configuration procedures are slightly cumbersome, as you have to switch from a graphical configuration to CLI.
We really don't like the GUI. We ran into some configuration changes in the GUI that lead to a whole switch losing VLAN's for no reason. We do not like how the switches are stacked. We also do not like how we don't get a cloud management with them.
Cost is the only downside. No enterprise level hardware is cheap, but I have no other issues with them. Rock solid performers with lifetime warranty.
