What I like most is that it just works. Backups and replication run on their own, no extra tools, no late-night tweaking. When a VM goes down, having it back up in under a minute feels like magic, especially when we are under pressure. Since it sits right inside vCenter, our team didn't have to learn a whole new platform. And the storage savings, way better than we expected. Honestly, it's one less thing keeping me up at night and that's worth a lot.
from my point of view HP have great key points, the most valuable for me is backup included on this solution.
One of the aspects I liked most, and which truly sets it apart from other solutions, is the ability to perform live virtual machine restoration. The restoration is virtually instantaneous, and since everything is fully integrated into the platform, no additional processes or complicated configurations are required.
If I had to pick, we really need to get the sizing right upfront. It's not hard to add capacity later, but it's smoother and more cost effective if we plan ahead. Also, bigger firmware updates sometimes require a quick call to HPE Support to walk through which is really hectic.
maybe this solution is not easy to implement and you need high knowledge on other technologies live ESX Vmware, hardware or storage concepts. Also , i think you need to take some time to negotiate licenses and cost with your HPE provider if you want o take some good discounts.
Its focus on simplicity and integration is excellent for most environments, but when you need to adjust very specific parameters - for example, highly customized snapshot policies or non-standard network configuration.
