The project extended longer than was planned due to scheduling issues but remained within budget. IBM demonstrated exceptional commitment to delivery; however, some formal documentation required last minute adjustments necessitating our teams to regroup to ensure alignment before final presentations. Although the follow-on work was initially considered for IBM, their internal reorg led them to no longer support the selected platform as an implementation partner. We appreciated their transparency and partnership in recommending other partners, which solidified our trust and relationship with them at a firm level.
- While the deliverables were lengthy and could have been more concise, they provided significant value and a level of detail necessary to ensure an executable roadmap. - While IBM provided a lens on technology and finance domain, they laced the capabilities to help us simultaneously consult on accounting impacts of switching our accounting basis from tax to GAAP. - IBM delivered a well-thought-out finance strategy and executable roadmap to transformation and implementation of a finance system; however, due to internal movements at IBM, they no longer supported the finance system of our choice and we had to go to RFP to find a new vendor to implement. We appreciated IBM's transparency and continue to work with them across a number of engagements within finance and technology.
