The basic monitoring, provisioning and management features are complete and ease to use User provides close training and follow up during deployment.
Very convenient and user friendly interface
Study material not available easily
Line monitoring and optimization feature is separated from this product, even if they do provide the license for MELT line test but it does not provide all the necessary functions. Vendor is not flexible with customized feature requirements. Release life cycle is short and frequent release upgrade in field is required, while causes extra operational cost. License management is confusing.
Sometimes it takes so much time to load after log in.

Great Management Software for your Network
In our network we use this software to manage and monitor Access devices like DSLAMs and MSANs. It is easy to add new devices, and manage them. There is a fault management interface on U2000. Real time and historical system alarms can be monitored via this software. With just one click, you can connect to your devices with Telnet etc. Also it has a graphical representations of devices, quickly you can check shelfves, cards and the status of any device. Device groups can be created according to the location and you can add access devices under them. It also has a user priviliges section on Security Interface and you can modify user rights here. Huawei U2000 is still best NMS system compare with Netnumen, Cacti.... All in one NMS
Good: - Strong performance: U2000 can monitor over 5000 routers (ATN and CX600). Can show over 12000 alarms. - East to operate: Add node, link to U2000 easily, create template to monitor only for the special alarm. Draw network topology clearly - Multi users, multi sessions: U2000 support multiple users to login and multiple session for each user. - Can monitor even L2VPN, L3VPN circuit, can detect packet error, real-time bandwidth.... - Build in telnet tool, ping, tracert tool. Not good: - User Interface very old, quite ugly. - U2000 client take a lot of RAM and CPU usage: ~300 Ram one session.
